Aimeé and Kim Rupp began the concept of AK Comfort during Covid lockdown in 2020. Being life-long Alaskans, our family moved from Eau Claire, WI to Anchorage in 1954, we knew Anchorage needed a place people could drive up to and order food we craved. Food made with quality ingredients. Food that comforts us during stressful times. Healthy food for kids, served like snacks. Snack boxes for adults with healthy ingredients, veggie boxes, organic coffees and teas, wellness teas, homemade soups and sandwiches, fresh organic salads and a daily special “like mom used to make”.

Kim had just published two family cookbooks when we were informed that our 35-year-old family business would be closing in April of 2021. This motivated us to bring our idea to life. From our oldest family favorites, to the new recipes we have created over the years… it has always been our dream to share our love for cooking with the community.

• AK Comfort’s mission is to provide Alaskans and its visitors a healthier, more comforting option to fast food. To add more variety than a drive through coffee shop by combining food service. To offer a friendly, welcoming, uniquely Alaskan style atmosphere. It is our goal to treat our employees with respect, and ensure they have a safe, comfortable, enjoyable place to work each day. To provide owners with a profitable, fun, challenging and creative business. “With hard work and determination comes success.”

• Our potential customers are looking for healthy, comforting, fast served food. By using the drive through or curbside pick-up, they can have dinners ready to take home in minutes. They are busy moms taking kids home from or to hockey/soccer practice, business professionals that know they will be working through lunch or dinner, construction workers wanting a hearty lunch or big breakfast burrito with coffee, tourists wanting a box lunch to take on a road trip sightseeing, or just anyone wanting a good home-cooked meal.

Whenever possible, we use whole foods, locally source our ingredients, and provide gluten free options. We hope you enjoy!
